*Applications for visas from residents of Malta are accepted at the Embassy of Japan in Italy
.
However, Japan and Malta have the visa waiver agreement which allows citizens of Malta to enter Japan without a visa for up to 90 days (only for tourism, business, visiting friends or relatives, etc. that does not include remunerative activities).
*For any other nationalities, kindly refer to a list of Visa Exemption Countries and Regions. The visa waiver agreement applies based on your nationality, NOT on your residence status in Malta.
*For any other consular-related inquiries, kindly contact Embassy of Japan in Malta by email. Appointment is required for visiting the Embassy.
