On 6th May, Mr. KOBAYASHI Ryuichiro, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, attended a conference on Children and Armed Conflict: A Critical Component of the Emerging Global Peace and Human Security Framework, co-hosted by the Government of Malta and the Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, and delivered a statement on behalf of the Government of Japan.
The conference was attended by representatives from various countries, UN agencies and civil society, who discussed the protection of children affected by armed conflict and efforts to address this issue.
