On the 25th of April, Mr. KOBAYASHI Ryuichiro, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. visited the Pieta Military Cemetery to attend the Anzac Day commemorative ceremony.
Representing the Government and people of Japan, he laid a wreath and, alongside members of the diplomatic corps and officials of the Maltese government, paid solemn tribute to those who lost their lives in war.
Anzac Day is a day to remember those who fought with courage at the Battle of Gallipoli, as well as to reflect on Malta’s important role in receiving and caring for wounded soldiers during their journey home.
