On 15th April, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, Mr. KOBAYASHI Ryuichiro paid a courtesy call on Rev. Msgr. Ervin Lengyel of the Apostolic Nunciature, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Malta, to announce his assumption of duties and to speak of his aspirations for the diplomatic work ahead.
In the course of a broad exchange of views on international affairs, Mr. Kobayashi referred to the two visits to Japan by the Pope, with particular emphasis on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and spoke of the precious value of peace, observing that prayer is in itself a source of energy.
